Buccament Bay Resort : Property Investment On Steroids

Buccament Bay phase 1 will soon be completing. Investors will soon be reaping the rewards of their investment. Those that invested back in 2006 have seen huge capital growth in their investments and will soon be taking advantage of the 30 day free usage. There has been delays, and the orginal timescales were definitely on the hopeful side.

Buccament Bay is a five star resort , built on the Caribbean island of St Vincent. This a beautiful island, with a relaxed way of life and an Island that has managed to escape mass tourism. This is a popular stopping point for the cruise ships. There are some basic 3 star hotels on the Island, but these are often booked up and the facilities can only be described as 'rustique'.

A real need has been identified on the Island for 5 star accomadation and Buccament Bay will fulfill that requirement very well. The developer, Harlequin Properties, is focused on building 5 star luxury resorts on some of the major Islands in the Caribbean. Under the direction of Dave Ames, Harlequin has managed not only to survive the economic downturn, but make some significant changes to the developments , that will benefit both holiday makers and investors.

Dave Ames is a dynamic sort of fellow, but you have to be quick to catch him, he is normally seen dashing from their office in Essex, with his travel bag, to another Caribbean Island. I am not envious, it is the onions that I have been cutting that are causing me to cry at the moment.

Seasoned investors are probably aware that delays in offplan properties is all part of the fun, those of us less experienced have harder coming to terms with this setback. But Buccament Bay will soon be opening its doors to holiday makers, and all the hard work will soon pay off.

With Buccament Bay opening soon, I imagine the resort must be alive with activity. Having to choose what uniforms the staff will wear, choosing the number and style of tea towels, completing the building......... I know that Dave Ames was keen to make sure that locals would be heavily involved with the building and running of the resort, bringing much needed work into the area. They have even been helping locals to catch the correct type of fish.

Buccament Bay has definitely caused a lot of contoversy in the investment world. It is a shame that all the forums have seemed to focus on the negative aspects. I have been pleased with the progression and am delighted that the OASIS group will be managing Buccament Bay. There a some big names now supporting this venture, including Pat Cash, Liverpool football team and
Gary Player is designing a course for the Marquis Estate , in St Lucia.
